How our crypto mining hosting works
When you host with Bitcoin Miner Hosting, your ASIC miners run in our filtered-air-cooled facility in Quebec, about 35 minutes from Montreal. You keep full ownership of every machine. We supply the rack space, power, cooling, network connection and the on-site technicians who keep your fleet hashing.
There are two ways to start. With bring your own miner + hosting, you ship miners you already own and we host them. With an equipment + hosting package, we source the miners for you and host them under the same agreement. Either way, the minimum order is 5 miners. Once the hosting agreement is signed and your miners arrive, our team racks, cables and configures them and points them at your mining pool. Most setups are completed within one to two business days, depending on order size.
What you pay: rate, racking fee and box storage
Hosting is billed on the electricity your miners consume, at an all-inclusive rate between $0.072 and $0.089 USDT per kWh. Where your rate sits in that range depends on the number of miners and space availability. Rack space, filtered air cooling, network, monitoring and on-site technicians are included in the rate.
There is one additional charge: a racking fee of $35 USD per miner, one time per connection or boxing out. Miner box storage is free, so you can keep your original boxes on site for the day you move miners out. An option with no security deposit required is also available.
You can estimate the electricity cost yourself: power draw in watts, divided by 1,000, multiplied by 24 hours, multiplied by your rate. An Antminer S23 draws 3,355 W, or about 80.5 kWh per day. At $0.072 per kWh that is roughly $5.80 per day; at $0.089 it is roughly $7.17 per day. Our profit calculator runs this math for every model we host.
Gross and net profit, explained
Our miner estimates are quoted at $0.075 USD per kWh (miner quantity and availability based). The Antminer S23, for example, shows an estimated gross profit of $6.30 per miner per day. Over a 30-day month that is about $189 net profit per miner, and a fleet of 5 S23s comes to about $945 net profit per month.
These figures move with the price of Bitcoin, network difficulty and transaction fees, so treat them as estimates rather than guarantees. The calculator lets you enter today’s hashprice from your pool and see every figure update.
Why efficient miners matter
Mining revenue depends on hashrate, while hosting cost depends on power. Efficiency, measured in joules per terahash (J/TH), tells you how much power a miner needs for each unit of hashrate. The Antminer S23 runs at about 11.0 J/TH, while the Antminer T21 runs at about 19.0 J/TH. That difference is the gap between an estimated $6.30 and $1.19 of gross profit per miner per day.
This is why we host current-generation, air-cooled ASICs and decline old and ineffective miners. They will not make you money, and our 530 miner spots are better used by machines that will.
Professional hosting vs. mining at home
A single modern ASIC draws more than 3 kW around the clock, pushes out a large amount of heat and produces fan noise far above household levels. Running even a handful at home means dedicated electrical circuits, constant ventilation and residential power rates. In our facility, cold Quebec air, 156 summer/winter air filtration, industrial electrical infrastructure and on-site staff take care of all of that, and the facility is insured, secured and monitored.
Hosting also brings onsite miner repairs and part replacement. If a fan or power supply fails, our technicians replace it on site; usually our hosting plans include the labour and you only pay for the spare parts.
